The writer/photographer/blogger is a lover of trees, teas, and as it so happens–books. A native of small town Wisconsin, her love of stories and curiosities about the world were first nurtured in a craftsman-style, hardwood floors, long walks, and good books childhood. Interdisciplinary pedagogy started young, with parental influence of an artist and English teacher. Immersed in studying the medieval and early modern world at a small liberal arts school in the middle of Iowa, these curiosities and love of stories continues to grow. Follow me on my adventures in academia, research, stacks of books, shadows of trees, and cups of tea. There are bound to be musings about the moon, moss, and the incredible renewable energy that is the love of a trusty labrador retriever.
In the fall of 2015, I will be embarking on my next adventure with ACM Newberry Seminar in the heart of the Second City. Come along, reader; let’s go explore. -Laura
